

Altun Ha
Altun Ha, which is Maya for “Rockstone Water,” is the ultimate Mainland experience in Belize. There, a van will be waiting to take you on a pleasantly scenic ride to the ancient archaeological site of Altun Ha.
Altun Ha was a major Maya culture ceremonial center and the discovery site of Belize’s famous Jade Head. This site is home to overr 10 Mayan temples and residential structures.
Stelae, sacrificial altars, various temples and dozens of out buildings have also been discovered here. The most famous feature of this site is a large jade carving of the Maya sun god “Kinich Ahau.” It is said to be the largest carved jade object over found in this Mayan community region.
After immersing yourself in the rich history and breathtaking sights, you make your way back to Belize City, taking in the final glimpses of its vibrant streets and coastal charm.
